Next week I start my quitting journey.. again!

4 years ago I stopped smoking... I used hypnotism and quickmist. I recently learned that I should have only used the spray for 4/6 months... and thats max! Following on from reading the posts on here I went to my Doctor who was horrified and prescribed me Champix.. so (due to non availability in my chemist) I start my battle against nicotine addiction once more. I will try to update because I know many other people have had issues with quickmist addiction and I found your posts really helpful in my search for a solution. Xx

I'm planning to try again next week too - so sick of keeping going through quitting then starting again when the going gets tough.

Hi Roisin01. Well... started the Champix a week ago which is a whole story on its own but let's just say I was an emotional wreck. This made me feel like I needed to stop the mouth spray sooner rather than later! So I last used my beloved mouth spray on Friday and it's been bloody hard! I've really had to plough on through but what I did was simply not take the spray to bed so i couldn't use it overnight or in the morning. That way on Saturday morning I could say to myself .. it's been 12 hours so keep going! So it's been 52 hours now! I literally focus on just one more hour ... and I'm hanging on in there but i can't wait to be off the spray and tablets for good!

Good to hear Salz1 - 3 days spray free now is great! Well done! Don't worry about the tablets/champix and coming off them as they are helping you not harming you :)

Continue to take day by day and as you say, hour by hour if needs be. Post anytime here, about anything as that's what we are here for. Keep up the great work - below pinned post is worth a read if not already done so:
