Hi Brian ..🤗

Always read the pinned post for tips and others experiences .

How many days ago did you started taking the pills ?? 🤔

As you must know you have to cut down cigs day by day until zero ...then you are ready to quit (usually within 10-20 days ) just give your body the chance to clear out from nicotine .😌

Just remember every time you smoke you are adding more nicotine and you body will ask for one more cig again and again .🙄

I quit two years ago with chantix and I still remember the first week without cigarrets I was feeling dizzy and a little disoriented .its very common 🥴

Most of the side effects are from nicotine withdraw .even the dizziness is caused by increased oxigen into the brain. 🤕

But it’s all good you will enjoy day by day not missing cigarets. I loved Chantix just make sure no caffeine or alcohol for 3 months .☝️

Distract your mind if you get urges .eat or do something you love instead .fruit, gum herbal tea , ice, holding a pen ,deep breath exercises ,etc ..just get distracted .

Keep it up ! 😇

Note I don’t think the eye pain is related to the medication ..but probably a little sinus ..check with your doctor .

Hi Brian I tried with champix and did really well till about day 10 and then just felt so dreadful I had to stop. Anxiety and mood swings and very much not myself. Wasn’t worth it for me but you could try a bit longer to see how you go. Do discuss any depressed feelings with your GP though. I am going to try vaping now instead of smoking. I know not everyone agrees but it’s worth a go for me. Best of luck

Brian I really think the symptoms you are feeling are quite normal for us all it’s just the brain calling out for nicotine until we give in. Pretty sure it’s not the Champix. I stopped very easily with Champix for six and a half months and stupidly had a couple of puffs and was back on them. Two weeks of smoking and I just hated losing my freedom and the money I was spending was ridiculous. Back on Champix and tomorrow will be my 7th day without smoking again. Perhaps I’m one of the lucky ones but I have nothing but praise for Champix, It does make me feel quite tired so I sleep - even like the dreams. Do keep an open mind as anything is better than going “cold turkey” as this addiction is so powerful and that is why I’m taking the easiest way out. I’m sure you can do this.
