Five or six weeks

Ha, it must be a good sign because I am not sure if I have been quit for five weeks or six weeks. I'd have to go look at a calender. Now I am working on getting off the patch. I think that program is supposed to take eight weeks, but since I started on the lowest patch I am now trying to put it on later each day. Withdrawl in stages - sigh... few tears and lots of bad dreams. A feeling of sadness. But also a little glimmer of how my mind might work without smoking....I feel naked emotionally. Good luck to everyone on here.

Hey KatNL , remember the nicotine withdrawal is short term, it only takes 3 days for the nicotine to leave your system and you are already over 5 weeks through the mental battle which is great! What you are feeling is perfectly normal. Stay close to us and come on to rant and rave anytime, we have all gone through it and came out the other side :)

Okay, still not smoking, not thinking of smoking. But not feeling happy or excited about it. Am actually getting less exercise than before I quit - horrible weather, and walking buddies away right now - so feeling crappy. But not thinking of smoking, just wishing weather would get better. Thanks for asking.

Hey KatNL , the weather really affects my mood too, really dislike the long dark winter evenings and have the CBA attitude for most of winter. But, surprisingly here in Ireland we are having beautiful winter sunshine and was 17 degrees yesterday. Was out and about in it most of the day and really lifted my mood ☀🌷🌹🌺🌸🌻 Enjoying it while it lasts as could have snow next week!!!
