I made it to 10! Well, honestly I'm not struggling too much at this point. I smoked more out of habit most of the time, and I'm adjusting to the new routine. I still think about them when I drive or after dinner, but not enough to buy them.
But I'm so tired. Has anyone else experienced fatigue? I wake up more easily in the morning, but by 4 pm I'm destroyed. But then I can't fall asleep until midnight.
Ugh.

Hi Ladyinthelake, Hope you are not too wet!!!! I suffered from fatigue for a long time and I just gave in to it. I was really amazed at how tired I was. However I am coming good now. Cigarettes are stimulants as well so you have to allow your body to start building itself up without all the uppers. I also found I was drinking heaps less coffee another stimulant so just keep plodding along and accept the tiredness. Well done with 10.
Hey ladyinthelake - tiredness is the most common nicotine withdrawal as your mind is working very hard to rewire, repair and recover from no longer getting nicotine and the other thousands of other poisonous chemicals in a cigarette. It is only short term and will settle down soon. See pinned post below on common withdrawal symptoms:
There is a few things you can do to help with this such as avoid alcohol and caffeine. Drink loads and loads of water throughout the day. Visit your local health food shop for herbal and vitamin supplements such as magnesium to help with this. Also, you could try some meditation topic, see link below:
I have also been very tired. I agree with dugahole, just accepting it and getting lots of sleep is what Ive been doing. I think it's physical and mental. Just part of your body adjusting to such a huge change.
Yes, extremely tired, hard time getting out of bed in the morning, be retired and winter isn't helping. eyes burn all day and no energy...uggg, I am normally so active, this is driving me crazy.
