And so this weekend is the first time I will write and edit the newspaper without smoking. I've done all the interviews and ad work this week - very frustrating as usual. I'm pretty confident about this though. I think it will be stressful but it always is. And the deadline means I have to just get to it and forget about the smoking. And then that's it I guess. I've been painting again, slowly and for short periods of time. I always feel uncomfortable. But I guess it just has to ease off slowly. Also I think I need some new pleasures in my life. Three weeks no smoking is okay.

Best of luck with the writing KatNL - change the routine of when you would have smoked while writing, get some water, come on here, read some entertainment gossip etc.....
Stick at the painting if you enjoy it and have a think of other things you enjoy and start doing it. For me, it was baking and cooking
