And today marks a week smoke free cold turkey, And I know I still have a lot to go, so just got to hang in there. By the way how long does the cold like symptoms last, And the vivid dreams/nightmares?

Congratulations on over 1 week smoke free now Anna_maggs96 - well done!

I too stopped cold turkey and everyone is different in their withdrawals but for me, the sleep disruption (didn't have nightmares/vivid dreams more waking up at 2:00 wide awake). This lasted around the 12 weeks, gradually improving week on week.

See below pinned post on average timescales but will vary from person to person worth a read if not already done so:

Day by day I'm moving forward, most days are easier now, when the want for a cigarette hits I have to remind myself of how far I've come and how much more I do not want to start over than how much I may think I want a smoke. We got this lady, we got this!!!!! We are awesomely stubborn!

Hi not to long, the best thing to do now is keep your mind occupied. I got a colour book and colour pencil and just replaced a craving with a colouring book, I got an Adult one they really are brilliant.
