Hi, I decided to go cold turkey 16 days ago now as didn't see the point in using a replacement. I was a 20+ per day smoker since I started again 6 years ago and I've found it easier than I thought I would so far. I was a bit down for a few days but once I stopped holding it in and had a good cry that got easier.
My challenge is this weekend when I have my first night out but I think if I stay inside the pub i'll be ok.

I too stopped cold turkey over 3 years ago now and never looked back. Keep up that positive attitude. It is good you are thinking of a potential trigger going out, definitely keep your guard up at all times when out, wishing you strength

Congratulations, you will be fine. I'm still not smoking and that's how I did it also. Cold Turkey. I'm not sure how long it's been, I decided not to count anymore. But I am not sorry at all. Hopefully by spring I will start running. That's my goal.
