Hi, I decided to go cold turkey 16 days ago now as didn't see the point in using a replacement. I was a 20+ per day smoker since I started again 6 years ago and I've found it easier than I thought I would so far. I was a bit down for a few days but once I stopped holding it in and had a good cry that got easier.
My challenge is this weekend when I have my first night out but I think if I stay inside the pub i'll be ok.

Welcome haz1972s - congratulations on 16 days smoke free, well done!
I too stopped cold turkey over 3 years ago now and never looked back. Keep up that positive attitude. It is good you are thinking of a potential trigger going out, definitely keep your guard up at all times when out, wishing you strength Let us know how you get on!
Ah yes, the blues...been there. Big brave step going cold turkey. You ought to be v proud of yourself. Keep going, no turning back now...I’m 7 months and it only gets better trust me. 👍🦋
Congratulations, you will be fine. I'm still not smoking and that's how I did it also. Cold Turkey. I'm not sure how long it's been, I decided not to count anymore. But I am not sorry at all. Hopefully by spring I will start running. That's my goal.
