Why am I so crabby lately? Wow. It sucks. It's a real effort to be in a great mood at times. Going on 6 weeks now! And gaining some weight! Any suggestions how NOT to gain weight? Any advice would rock! Thanks in advance ❤

Hi Rebeccalong, Good for you 6 weeks is fantastic. I certainly can't give any tips on weight as I have gone from a greyhound to an oompaloompa sadly. Just keep going and in time the Cranky pants will slowly fall down ( wolf whistle !!) and then you will be able to put your happy chappy's on!! I have been thinking about this quit smoking deal and decided that if it was a walk in the park without any hardships at all everybody would have stopped smoking by now!! Stay strong.

Hey rebeccalong - well done on 6 weeks ;) The low mood is normal as your mind and body is in the thick of rewiring, repairing and recovering but the good news is, every day that passes smoke free, the better and stronger you will feel. Avoid caffeine, alcohol and sugary foods for a while until things settle down. Drink plenty of water and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables,

EVERYONE gains some weight when they stop smoking as everything tastes so good now and your metabolism slows down. Try not to worry about it at the moment. It can be addressed if needs be later on when you are stronger in your journey.
