hi everyone, I've cut down drastically on smoking pretty recently only having about 1 a day, still getting a lot of cravings though, want to stop entirely but that one a day keeps me sane. does anyone have any ideas on how to beat the cigarettes for good? cant use nicotine patches either because I'm so allergic to them :(

Hi Beth, the pinned posts have some ideas on how to handle cravings. But in general I think having something you can concentrate on when a craving hits, exercise, cold water, hot tea, herbal supplements.

I used an e-cig, which I found helpful. Read up on all of the NRT before you try any of them.

I think having the one a day is not helping the cravings. Generally the physical cravings disappear within 48-72 hours. Even if you only have one it keeps your systems from fully cleansing. And I imagine you look forward to the one all day. Good luck.

Hey beth-1997 - can't really add much more to Cocoa's excellent advice - definitely try and set a stop date for that 1 cigarette. Below pinned post is worth a read;

Probably what I used the first weeks after quitting was the zero nicotine vape pen .icy fruit , gum, lots of distraction for your mind , and herbal tea all day !

Stay away from alcohol and caffeine first 3 months is very important ..keep it up 👍
