anybody on here that feels that they are missing something by now is clearly not content in their quit. I had the same issues up to week 5 or 6 but had already decided I needed to change my job to take my mind off withdrawals. I know this Is difficult as not all people can do this. but I felt that withdrawing myself from situations that reminded me of smoking would be beneficial. my work involved a lot of travel in a company vehicle so changing my job from familiar smoking places and even the vehicle that I used to smoke in immediately gave me a release from that everyday habit. I did initially have a big problem with food intake but that gradually slows down as the withdrawals do. some people do say that it's better to not going out drinking during the first few weeks, I just thought that there would have been no avoiding the inevitability that you would eventually have to tackle being intoxicated whilst surrounded by a group of smokers finding it highly amusing to tease you into smoking once again. if you are strong in the first few encounters of this the people who associate you with smoking will eventually get over it and leave you alone. once the teasing subsides and the weeks go by everything gets a whole lot easier and manageable. everybody is different so I'm not going to say take this as gospel but this is just an example that it does go away.
