Getting some strong cravings at the 8 month mark. I think the nice weather doesn't help, just want to be outside in a beer garden with a drink and a cigarette!

Good to read an update from you markjoes and that you are at 9 months now, congratulations 🚭💪

The seasonal cravings you are experiencing are perfectly normal and will pass and will be easier when hit again. The first one is always the toughest. Continue to stay strong as we look forward to you joining us in the penthouse 🏤

Hi Roison. That's great, thanks - will have a read now! I stopped on the 03/08/17 but had a relapse on 10/09/17.. nothing since then! So it's actually 8 months tomorrow, no idea how I made 9 months in my head lol (probably didn't count the relapse!)

No problem at all, we tend to wish time away to reach the 1 year mark :)

hi markjoes

soon be one year, how good is that.

I had a sort of crave,a car passed me and I could smell the smoke,I was sat a the bench with a freind where we both sat and had a rest,a halfway mark on one of our walks, and always hd a fag,

but the moment,seconds past 😁

your well on your way 😁

take care 😊

I’ve had a few reminders lately as well I’m 9 months to

, I think with the nice weather. Relaxing , having a bbq and a drink ... I think it’s a little reminder that the smoking bit is missing ...

It as quick as it comes , it goes and just carry on ....

Keep it going 😎👍

The reminders are not going to go in 9 months I guess 🙄

Yep. Around 20 a day for 20 years. Still can't believe I quit. I have terrible willpower!

Me too , and feel very chuffed that I’ve stopped and I often have a little grin when I go and do something , where before had to have a ciggy first or after ..it’s a good feeling 😎👍

haha me too. It's hard not to be smug about it. I say to anyone who smokes, if I can quit - you definitely can!

Ha! ! You are not alone. I have a screened in back porch where I would always sit outside and enjoy looking at the woods and smoke. Since the weather has gotten warmer I’ve looked at the back porch and the first thing I thought was “let me get my cigs.” I have no intention of ever going back, but it doesn’t stop those old habits from popping into my head.

It's not just a habit. It's little routines also. The morning one with a coffee is the one I think about occasionally

Ugh. Im at 8 months and having stronger cravings this week than I had when I first quit. It has to be the nice weather and living alone without distractions! Time to find a mate! LOL

Oh yes! I don't even bother keeping a track of the time now. Doing very well thank you. Got to the point I can go out and stand outside with smokers and it doesn't even tempt me :) Hope you are well also, and enjoying the chefing!

Good to read markjoes - new job going grand but fighting against time which hopefully will improve over the next few weeks, the beautiful weather we have been having here in Ireland for the past month has cooled down alot this evening, I must admit, I am glad as the heat and humidity in the kitchen was unreal :O
