Pk.... Welcome and wishing you all the best on your journey...

Champix is a wonderful aid if you acknowledge the fact that it is not a magic pill that makes you stop, you will have all the ingredients to quit !!

You have set your quit date which is perfect and you will find after few days on Champix there is no joy in smoking any more..

The Physical cravings will subside but be prepared for the emotional attack. Champix will hijack the nicotine receptors and you will feel no hit closer to day 12 and 14...but you will still suffer the huge loss feeling..You might go in a total state of "Zombification" a total "Blah"

That soon gets better and soon you will be very comfortable with your quit.. Stay strong !

I’m also on day 16 of no smoking, 4 weeks on champix. I couldn’t of explained the feeling of it any better! You’ve both hit the nail on the head, from now on I will described it as a ‘blah’ day to my family 😁

Eddie. it does get better but you must help it on...exercise, Vitamins and supplements just to get you pass the Blah....and from there it is downhill..!

Sooze...Yup, but it does get better...You must force it away with a bit off exercise and supplements and extra vitamins ...! Get that brain releasing dopamine without nicotine!

Hey pk, I stopped smoking by using Champix. 84 days smoke free so far.

Champix is great, it helped me a lot.

I chose the 11th day as my quit date. Most people say they start to cut down before their quit date, I didn't. Champix didn't make the cigs taste horrible, but it did make the cigs feel a lot weaker, almost like I was smoking a silk cut rather than a strong Benson.

Anyway the day before my quit date I was still smoking 20 a day, I was convinced Champix wouldn't work for me. On the morning of my quit date Instead of going to smoke a cig I told myself 'No, today is my quit date, I need to give this a go'

So I didn't smoke that morning cig, or the one after that or the one after that and 84 days later have still not smoked.

For me, the real magic of Champix happened once I quit. The craves were still there but they were not as strong as I thought they would be.

Good luck x

Ok hello, 10 days prior to my quit I stopped smoking while driving , and coffee, etc . All that cut me down to a pack every 3 days from a pack a day. I'm on day 51 or 52 and driving and drinking coffee don't make the urge come. Also after quit I'm using 7 mg patch. Good luck to you how ever you do it.. oh now I've got to get rid of little piece of tape on my arm to be completely done with my process good luck to all. 🚭🔠 Jeff
