Welcome Champagn - I quit cold turkey 19 months ago but we have several members who successfully quit with the aid of champix. The nausea appears to be a common complaint, below is a pinned link to tips on the nausea, it seems to work if followed exactly.

We look forward to seeing you in Day 1 very soon :)

Hey Champagn and welcome!

How are you doing today?

I quit over 10 weeks ago using Champix and totally agree about the morning tablet making you feel sick.

Make sure you take the morning tablet about half an hour to an hour after food and invest in a packet or two of ginger biscuits - they really do help. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water too.

If it's any consolation, the sickness passed after the first two weeks for me, as did the anxiety. I was supposed to take the course for 12 weeks but on the 5th week, I decided to reduce the dose to 1mg every other day and the week after 1mg every two or three days and so on and it really didn't affect me at all.

I haven't had a tablet now since last Friday and still have a pack left - I think I will see how I feel before I take any more.

i appreciate that everyone is different and the dosage that I used may not be suitable for everyone, but all you can do is see how you get on and how you feel.

Is it a 12 week course that you have been prescribed?

Keep going and well done this far!!

Mel :D
