quitting smoking with asthma
Hello treacle1965 ,
I quit using a vape as well, don't think I could have done it any other way at the time to be honest. Congratulations on reaching a month, you've done really well and if you're anything like I was at this stage you will feel a big sense of accomplishment.
I read your previous post about the possibility of the e-cig affecting your asthma. Is it still a problem? I also read the responses from Abuelajeannie and I agree with her. I definitely found that some flavours seemed to cause a sense of irritation in my lungs. I recently saw an investigation on TV which suggested that flavours such as menthol actually caused the most irritation, which was completely unexpected. I would suggest (as Abuelajeannie did) that you try different flavours and even different brands to find the one that is right for you. Find something that works.
As far as stopping vaping completely goes I can only say that taking it slowly worked for me. A few people here have quit using an ecig and we have all stopped using the ecig at different times. It took me six months to feel confident enough to come off it but others did it much quicker than I did, with just the same results. Decide when is the right time for you, do it as quickly or as slowly as you like but do it in a way that feels right
Congratulations again, give yourself a pat on the back.
And also....congratulations for being the owner of post number 30,000! This place has come a long way!

Oh yeah!!!! Well done.
I stopped by using a Vape as well. Nozmo is right about some flavours being more of an irritant than others. Menthol was the one to watch out for in particular.
You should be feeling very proud of yourself indeed. 😎
