I'm listening to The Easy Way for Women to Stop Smoking: Without Gaining Weight by Allen Carr, narrated by Karina Fernandez on my Audible app. Try Audible and get it here: audible.com/pd?asin=B00DUIJ...

A few years ago I read the easy way to stop smoking and miraculously woke up not wanting to smoke. I finished the book with no withdrawals or hesitation. It was great. 3 months later withdrawals appeared and I started again. I do reference back to the book and have read the book several times. I think it’s very good education and quick guide to answers

That is good to know that it worked. What do you think made you buy another pack? It says you are one month smoke free, did you use the book to accomplish that?

Also how long/much did you smoke?

I know it’s a lot of questions just curious.

I went back smoking for a few years. Back down the slippery slope as he says. I didn’t know how to handle the withdrawals. I had wanted to quit and saw the book and bought it.

I’m only at chapter 2. So far it does mention the fear of withdrawal quite often. I worry a bit about that. I have been smoking for 17 years only quitting during pregnancy. I smoke a pack a day and I just want to live a healthy life for my children and myself. I feel like a lot of my problems are because of smoking

If I were you I would keep reading. Education is everything. I learned a lot from his book. I failed because I failed not because of the book.

ladyinthelake6 Months Smoke Free

I know two people who atopped cold turkey after readying Allen Carr. I never finished reading it myself. Maybe because I was afraid I would quit if I did....But now that I have quit (four months on Monday!) I often remind myself of one of his lines, "everytime you put out a cigarette you become a non-smoker. After that, the choice is not whether to become a non-smoker but whether to become a smoker."

I dont know why, that helped me. As did envisioning smoking as I might alcoholism and accepting the reality that there is no such thing as one cigarette. Which Allen Carr also mentions frequently.

Anyway, it is a good resource. Best of luck!

I read it twice and still smoking.. 😭

Hi Boober ..I only heard about the Carl book when I was looking for reviews about the medication .

I think anything you do to quit smoking is worth to try . We are all really different.

I used medication to quit because I was very addicted and I wanted to quit fast . But what’s more important is to fine your own way to quit ASAP .

Best wishes 🦋
