Hi All,

Welcome pk8990 and congratulations on 1 month smoke free! Well done Has your cough only developed over the last 2 days or been there since you quit, if since you quit, it is likely your lungs clearing out and vaporizing should help lift it or over the counter medicine from your chemist, a spoonful of honey will assist too in the morning.
If it has only developed, perhaps something you have picked up as this time of year there is alot of viruses and infections going around - keep us updated on how you are getting on....
Hey pk8990 ! Congrats on the 1 month smoke free. I am currently gonna hit my 3rd month this Feb 11th. Anyways, yea, i was hit by a terrible cough and a fever too, after the 1 month of smoke free, you know with the phlegm and the mucus thingy. I think this is one of the healing process as the lungs is clearing out the toxins of the cigarettes. So, i advise that you drink plenty of water like, 3 litres of water a day, to keep yourself hydrated and also to aid in the detox process. It is the cheapest way to detox. Get well soon!
Welcome shortyfvizvl - congrats on almost reaching your 3 month milestone, great mindset and attitude - perhaps create a new introductory post and share your story
PS excellent reply to pk.....
