Welcome Hidden and congratulations on 3 days quit. Are you doing it cold turkey, if so, the nicotine will be out of your system by the end of today. The irritability is perfectly normal and will pass in the next week or so. Below are some pinned posts from across the way that may be helpful to you. Quitting will be the toughest thing you will achieve but you CAN do it. Stay close to us and post anytime, we are here to help. I am 16 months quit and never looked back :)

Hello and welcome Hidden

Well done on your first 3 days! You're absolutely right, it is hard, really hard but it is also an achievable goal and one that is within your reach.

The mood swings and irritability are normal. This will pass, just hang in there. Also, don't be too hard on yourself. Quitting smoking is difficult. Explain to those around you what you are trying to do.

Don't feel you are alone in this. You are not. If you need support we are all here and willing to help.

Keep going. You can do it!! 😃

How's the surviving going? Weekends can be a bit dodgy as there's more time to think about smoking! Try to keep as busy as possible and try to avoid situations you associate with smoking. Easier said than done I know.

Hope it isn't going too bad.

It is hard.. whenever I feel crazy,, super want a smoke,, I breath deep in and out of my mouth like I'm taking a drag.

Seems to help,, could be in my head but whatever works! It will get better. Im almost at 3wks and the cravings seem to go now just as fast as they come. YOU GOT THIS!

They say it takes 21 days to break a habit.. keep going :)
