So pleased I have got this far but am struggling today. Not sure why. I don't need a cigerette but I really would like one. I miss them. I suppose they have been part of my like for 40 years. I am resisting the temptation though.

Hey Christopher123 the cravings you are experiencing are going to be intense and tough for the next few weeks but don't be discouraged, it is perfectly normal and for each craving you encounter, the next one will be easier to overcome, try to keep busy when they come as only last for 3 or 4 minutes at the most. Drink a cold glass of water and take a long deep breaths - well done for posting on here - you are doing great, be proud of yourself :)

Tomorrow is your big milestone of 1 week, plan that treat!

I can't really add to the advice given by Roisin - keep searching for different ways to distract yourself and try to stay away from situations that you associate with smoking.

It's a hard habit to break Christopher123 . I still get the urge for one after almost 11 months!

hi Christopher123

Oh I know that feeling! That is exactly how I felt this evening. I have a cold and for one reason or another, I really wanted to smoke. Old habits die hard. Keep resisting the temptation because it will get easier and it is worth the effort.

You are doing brilliantly - don't forget this.

Do whatever you need to do to keep from smoking. As others said it gets easier over time.
