Oops, threw a little wobbly......

Was putting Emmy's nice new washing machine together and completely and utterly lost the plot because I couldn't find a 13mm spanner. I was almost reduced to tears for goodness sake.....swearing, slamming doors, throwing my teddy bears out of the pram.

I was in the garage looking....which is the place where me and my old mate Nicotine used to hang out together. The cheeky bugger thought he had me in his trap.

Well unlucky public enemy number 1! I'm not giving in! Hah! I found my spanner, exactly where it should be πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and now the washing machine is done and I'm enjoying a coffee with Emmy

Feel like a 41 year old stroppy teenager hahahahaha....but didn't cave in πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

Goodnight all, a new smoke free day tomorrow!

Good for you Andy! Ah yes, the memories of the week 1, it was Day 8 that I lost the plot, pulled my hair out literally, hubby could not look at me, scrubbed walls, floors, I really was a raving lunatic, but my savior was typing into google 'Day 8 of quitting' and up came this forum....

It will get easier from now on Andy, I promise.

I remember that day Joe2 you posting about getting lost, the next day, you conquered and triumphed the drive if I remember correctly.....

Sounds like a nightmare Joe2 , if you can survive a London drive with a dodgy sat nav while quitting smoking you can beat anything!

I remember completely losing it because I couldn't separate two saucepans that had stuck together when I stacked them in the sink. I ended up in the garden shouting at the pans.

It's normal to be abnormal.

Hahahaha, this one made me chuckle. I really thought a 13mm spanner wobbly was something, till i read the stuck saucepan wobbly.

I like the garden tactic, will remember than one

Having a wobble or two, is I believe, in my book at least, perfectly acceptable, I,m just soooo very very pleased it was only a wobble, and indeed not a total fall.

Well done you, with just a big banner saying great post, and if I dare say, just a little funny , the things we do to stay quit.

Fantastic

Quite interesting, loving the fact it's Emma's new washing machine, if only for the fact my oh, says our washing machine is indeed mine.

Thanks Tracey3 . It was thankfully only a wobble, though a pretty ridiculous one - glad I can laugh about it afterwards :)

I hasten to add that it is "Emmys washing machine" only until the shinyness and novelty has worn off and she gives me official approval to use it! lol

With 4 grubby kids in the house, we run it in shifts.......

Reminds of my flight home from skiing with the family back in March. Mini meltdown at Geneva airport - even now I am not quite sure why. Really hard to deal with anything remotely stressful in the first few weeks but it does get easier. Seems you have the right attitude to power through it all - keep strong

Yep, it is tough....having a meltdown and not really knowing why, that says enough right and highlights how nasty this horrible addiction is.

I think I kind of had it in my head to get angry so that I'd have an excuse to smoke....but thankfully common sense prevailed, with a whole lot of help from this forum!
