Huge welcome Tryinghard and well done on Day 6, that is great!

You are over the worst of the physical withdrawal from nicotine, I would suggest reading the pinned posts over on the right hand side of this page which may be helpful to you.  Try to read up as much as possible what happens both mentally and physically when we quit.

For the next few weeks, keep as busy as possible, take one day at a time, avoid caffeine and sugary foods (know thats hard when we first quit, but can contribute to cravings). Drink lots of water and get a little excercise every day.

Wishing you success and strength, post as often as you need to.....

Hi I remember my first week it was tough, you just need to keep busy and think would that one cig make everything ok? No it wont, you will be so cheesed off with yourself, 6 days is amazing

This site has been brilliant for me, its kept me focused when I was ready to crack

I'm on day 64 and I still cant believe I have got this far, I used to smoke 30+ a day for 30 years. I now feel great, I still have the odd craving but I now know that having a cig wont make me happy it will make the last 64 days a waste of time.

Go for a walk, have a bath, stuff food in your face lol, any thing to stop yourself and tomorrow you will be so pleased you made another day
