Simply put, yes it is worth it. Get a mouth gaurd, see your dentist for advice but don't start smoking as a reason to justify oral health, that makes no sense. Did this happen last time you quit for 3 months? Did it continue or get better with time? Just try your best to deal with it while staying away from cigs. Good luck.
Amazing things, I wet a teabag and wrung it out, place it in my mouth and in 5 minutes my gums swelling went down considerably, after almost vomiting because of its strength I took it out and did Oil Swishing (but with water), I used a full foam cup, I have no pain and no urge to smoke, off to reverse my cavity's, This happend but not at the same level of pain the last time I quit, smoking is like a mental trick on the brain, with obvious side-effects

Glad to hear of your remedy Nickname 23, and you've maintained the quit also, AWESOME !
Yes its worth it. You're going to have horrible withdrawal symptoms - but with your addiction as bad as it is you must be really REALLY destroying your lungs.
You're gonna prefer these withdrawal symptoms to cancer, i guarantee it.
