I'm plodding on with this quit and yesterday had my own mini triumph as I made it to the month 4 room and I like it here. It is a good place to stay for a couple of months and adjust to life as an ex-smoker and reflect on what I've learnt the past 3 months.
It's not been easy but I've taken baby steps to make it here. Mr Nicotine still appears from time to time when I least expect it but he is now challenging a stubborn and defiant toddler.

Well in Sally, although everyone's different I found the 3-4 month period extremely challenging, well done to you and you are one step closer to the next mile stone
I'm sure there will be challenging days ahead but reading (and re-reading) posts here helps me massively. I don't want to smoke again. I've learnt my lesson (twice) the hard way falling for the 'one won't hurt' line. I just need to keep my head together and if I'm stressed or upset to realise that a cigarette is not going to make anything better. It's just an added complication.
I have great company in this room already and am enjoying the hospitality. Dolores it's great to hear you sounding so positive again and very much looking forward to you joining us in 9 days.
A lot of posts on the forum compare quitting to climbing a mountain. Well thank you to those ahead of me who reach down with a helping hand when I need it and to those who quit after me who give me a gentle push in the right direction.
