Past the halfway mark now..the steep uphill climb is over...it's now a gentle downhill descent with the lights of the penthouse in the distance to spur you on.

I didn't like to correct people, but I'm well into the 6th month, not reached it yet Coming up to 5.5 months. The only time I think about cigarettes is when I see someone else smoking them (in real life or on tv). I suppose I'm fortunate (in this respect anyway) that I don't hang out with any smokers, and there is no one else in the house, so no temptation otherwise. During the summer in the boot sale season will be different, as lots of people I hang out with there smoke.

I was finishing the early spring garden tidy up this morning and came across a plastic container full of old butts and stagnant rain water. Only the filters were left, and the whole thing smelled disgusting. That was certainly not a temptation! It's amazing how many buried filters I have come across this month doing the garden tidying up. Each one the stagnant remains of an expensive death stick.
