I'm Bev from Buckinghamshire and will be quitting tomorrow morning. A little apprehensive about it as I have smoked for years but, I need to do this as I suffer with Crohns disease and smoking really doesn't help this condition. Will be starting with the patches first thing in the morning.

I quit using patches too....small steps...one day at a time and you,v come to the right place. There will always be support and advice to help you along the way...good luck...look forward to reading your progress
Thanks everyone for your support and encouragement. Well here I 'am at day 3 being a non smoker. So far so good still struggling with not having that first ciggy in the morning (as soon as I get up with my first coffee of the day) but the rest of the day is fine. Feeling quite proud of myself even though I have a long way to go xx
well done Bev, first 3 days are tough, Im quitting using patches too and can say they have been a god send at taking the edge off of the craves, it takes a while to stop missing the first cig of the day, the one after meals etc, but it does come honestly Im only 9 weeks in and I reckon I have fleeting thoughts about cigs a couple of times a week now and its more " I could fancy one" rahter than " aaaargh I HAVE to have one" keep it up girlfriend xx
