My name is Judy, I'm from the east coast of Canada.
I'm butting out tomorrow. Have quit successfully before-I know I can do it again.
I don't feel all panicky about it-I guess that's the Champix working.

Good luck to you. Smell that fresh air!
Hi Judy
Well done you starting tomorrow that's really good news
Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members
Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good
You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad
Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be
This link is good for the psychological part of quitting whyquit.com/whyquit/A_Sympt...
Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK
Love
Marg
Hi and welcome to the forum. Just wanted to echo all of the above, read the links and post often. It is good to have you on board.
We are getting very international around here!
It really is great to post on here....some lovely people...but also, it keeps ya hands busy
Best wishes for tomorrow
My one tip is to remind yourself that you are not being deprived of anything. I haven't given up anything, I have gained a new sense of well-being.
thanks, everyone. I will check out all the links.
Day 1 wasn't so successful. I guess I set myself up for failure. Pkg. of smokes on the cupboard as well as dirty ashtray, lighter.....
I had a puff early and another puff in the afternoon. Now-I don't have any smokes (I threw the rest away) and I've cleaned up and put stuff away.
Will have day 1 again tomorrow.
