There's no right or wrong way to quit. CT is the right way for some people, NRT for others. Personally, I could never have made it through the first month without my patches.
Don't you dare go feeling inadequate because you're using patches!
Just hold on in there and congratulate yourself on your massive achievement so far.
Of course patches aren't cheating! Anything that gets you through is totally fine (well beyond illegal stuff, like murdering someone obviously :D)
Seriously, don't ever feel as though using something to help you through those first days and weeks is cheating. What you're doing is a tremendous thing and so well worth it.
Agreed, patches definitely aren't cheating, the only thing that's cheating is smoking a real cigarette! Well done on day 2 keep going
P.s if you went CT nothing would happen as such but for the first few days the cravings and mood swings are intense, I think it's because of the all or nothing scenario.....with patches you wean off the nicotine with CT it's the shock method lol it wasn't for me but has worked perfectly well for lots of members on here xx
Well done Tracey, you are doing really well And using patches is not cheating, having a stinky fag whilst pretending to yourself and everyone else you've quit is cheating and I know you won't do that  As I said yesterday, stop being so hard on yourself, direct the negative feelings to Nic and focus on the positive, you can do this
