Not good, so not good. From hero to zero all in one day.
Did not avoid alcohol last night, you guessed it i smoked. I know, i know. So silly and irresponsible. I'm proper gutted, should've just stayed in and gone to bed.
Let myself down, my kids and my quitting buddies. Haven't bought any cigs but am now craving one. Just few cigs and look whats happened.
Maybe didn't take things seriously enough, gave in too easily. One days so strong & positive, the nxt so ****** weak and now sooo negative actually feel quite upset & silly. I hate this hold, the battle, am i ready???

Well you have done well not to just go 'sod it' and buy a pack for yourself so small mercies!
I can understand how the booze lowers your guard - I was mostly sailing through my quit (in the sense I didn't want a cigarette, anyway, I had other side effects which were tough!) until I went to the pub, had a few delicious ciders and BAM out of nowhere I really REALLY wanted a cigarette. Had my other half brought his tobacco out with him then I'm sad to say I would have had one.
I'm not sure which day you were on prior to your wobble but perhaps a few sensible nights and having a night cap at home without temptation in your face might be good for you. Easier said than done but it is possible! Also, give whoever gave you cigarettes a clip round the ear and tell them not to do it again! Good luck continuing your quit from here - don't just go back to the fags. Be strong!
Dust yourself off. You're doing great. It took Thomas Edison 10,000 attempts to invent the lightbulb. With every failure he took a step closer to success!
So you had a few smokes. Don't beat yourself up Like Max said...get back on the pony!
"The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people."
Only the people who really want to quit will admit to having a smoke, most of us on here have quit more than once and sometimes it takes a few times to get a forever quit.
What I will tell you though is the quicker you go back to not smoking the easier it will be. You'll get there

^^^literally word for word what Lucy said.... Absolute nail on the head... Get back to it, you can do it you really can!
