Hello Campers :)

DAY 28

If you're reading this and doubt your ability to quit smoking right now...

If you're reading this and think you're not strong enough to quit smoking again...

If you're reading this and believe quitting will be a long, painful, never-ending journey...

If you're reading this and are scared your life will be less fun without a smoke...

If you're reading this because you feel your life is defined by fags...

If you're reading this worried what your smoking buddies will say...

If you're reading this not knowing whether to tell your friends/family/colleagues...

If you're reading this assuming you need to quit drinking and/or fun as well...

If you're reading this wondering why you feel so sh*t after 'x' quit days...

If you're reading this due to health, wealth, desperation, revelation, or on behalf of a loved one...

Or..........if you're reading this thinking: who is this repetitive knob anyway?

Well...I'm Steve, and I have not smoked for 4 weeks.

Booyakasha :D

I've confronted each of those demons several times during my quit.

I guess we all do.

But now I'm happy, smiley, positive, and don't want to smoke anymore!

New quitters: there is a wonderful life waiting for you once you get through the first few days!

I know, I know: the most boring self-indulgent post I've ever written...but we ALL deserve to pat ourselves on the back, whether we've "only" been quit for an hour, day, week, month or year. So.......

GO GO ALL OF US! WE ARE ALL HEROES!

Sozzers,

Steve

Hey Steve

Brilliant post, and it is so true. The 'new life' awaiting us is something worth striving for. I have felt awful this weekend, but over the worst of it and got back on the high of feeling proud and positive at doing this quit.

Very well done on reaching the month milestone, hope to be there myself in a couple of weeks!

Keep on keeping on fella

Jim

Yay Steve,

Of course you should be proud of yourself! Have a virtual pat on the back from me :D

Not only are you cruising with your quit in such a positive way but you are always there to offer congratulations and support. Then on top of all that you write a brilliant post for new and established quitters alike. This place is all the better for having you around :)

Hi BlueBell :)

Nelson M was a great man. I'm not. I just haven't smoked for a few weeks.

HAVING SAID THAT...that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me!

We're close enough that we'll be waltzing into the Penthouse together, hey? Arm in arm?

Steve

What a performance :D:D

You have a wonderful knack with words and a wonderful ability to post in an interesting and humorous way..all of which acts to inspire others as you yourself, break from a careful walk into a jog and now a sprint, sprinting past One month!!!!:p

So delighted that we are lucky enough to have you here fella!!!;)

Sprinting's still a bit too much of an effort, Max...but I'm certainly "jogging with style"

I hope there's room in the PH for about 40 next January...the Freedom Fighters are smashing it right now :D

Thanks for taking the time to reply, mate!

Well done Steve!

I've said it before, but a winning mindset can shine very brightly from very early on in the quit process. You're already far enough into your quit to ooze that confidence; we are all on the same path and there are already those behind you on the path who aspire to be where you are now.

Keep it up fella, failure just isn't an option:D:D
