37 weeks & not counting...I was just coming back home the other day from yet another ****** trip to have blood taken at the surgery & a quick urge hit me...not strong but enough to remind me I hadn't been on the forum for quite a while. So I then actually had to calculate how long it has been as I'd completely forgotten...it works out at 262 days or 37 weeks! Wow...nearly a feckin year! I'm amazed. My health is in the toilet as the previous diagnosis of M.E has now changed to Rheumatoid Arthritis with secondary Sjogren's Syndrome & Systemic Lupus. However, I've gone down the 'I was healthier when I smoked & drank' road occasionally but, the way I look at it is that if I was still smoking & went to the Docs exhibiting the symptoms I have, I would have been told to go away & give up smoking for 6 months before they could give me an adequate diagnosis as the habit has disguised the symptoms over the past few years (many of them such as the cough & exhaustion can be attributed to the effects of smoking) so in quitting, I am finally getting to the root of why I feel so krappy &, although there's no cure for my problems, at least they're not fatal & can be controlled...& I'm free from being a slave to Nick O'teen. My OH is up to 7 months free too & going strong so...onwards & upwards & I'm nearly knocking on the Penthouse's door!

Nice to see you again Sophie, glad you're still quit but am really sorry your health is so lousy.

Thanks, all...I'm ok with it all as the blood tests have found that my problems are due to a positive auto immune result...they just have to narrow it down, lol. Scary to think if I hadn't given up smoking, I'd have been constantly fobbed off & very little testing would have been done. So it has paid off, even though it looks like it's all got worse.

On another note...Kat...it looks like you are coming up to your move to the Penthouse...or you're already there...HUGE congrats!
