It's day 4 already!

Can't believe I don't smoke!

Got some funny aches and pains going on, on and off in my back (feels like the bottom of my lungs) and my stomach but I'm guessing that's just my body adjusting. Feeling very positive today but physically, not great.

Well done you :) Keep pushing through the physical stuff and you will be all good. Being positive mentally is so important to keeping the quit going, but when the physical benefits kick in you will be bulletproof :)

Have a good day 4!

YAY go Gemma :D

Know what you mean about the physical stuff, it's horrible but it's the healing thing!!

Here's to Day 4!!

Good morning Gemma, I love your attitude :D

I think we may well have an unbeatable team. Not long now and you'll start noticing physical benefits instead of physical weirdness.

Week one half done, keep on marching on, I'm really proud of you :)

Thanks so much, I know I keep saying it but I can't tell you how much of a difference this support is making to me. Each time I get a craving I come on here and there's a new message spurring me on, it helps to feel accountable and one of the team! x

Nope, ask away!

I'm definitely getting cravings but they are milder compared to what I've experienced in my previous attempts using NRT. I think I'm struggling more with breaking habits and fighting urges rather than proper cravings if that makes sense although I do get the odd full on really-really-want-a-fag craves (like after dinner and after work) but having the Champix reminds me that giving in would only make me sick so I suppose it feels like more of a 'fail-safe' than anything. I hope that makes sense.

I've developed an addiction to ice cream/lollies too which helps a lot because they take as long to eat as a craving takes to disappear

I understand what youre going through, I've used patches every other time and they're not nice you're doing so well though!

Oooh that definitely makes sense :)

Thanks, the fail safe definitely sounds like a good thing - 'cos you know all a fag would do is make you heave!! And you're doing soooo well!!

The patches aren't nice, but they seem to be working with a bit of help :)

Oooh ice lollies, that's a good idea :D

So, Gemma Lou, what have you got on your list of crave busting foodstuffs now?

Have you added Midget Gems yet, Austinlegro became addicted to those when he quit, and they are quite apt for you aren't they?

In fact, that could be your team mascot, a packet of Midget Gems :D

Oooh they would definitely fit!!

Have got hooked on Extra gum at the mo, got a retail box of it come yesterday, and that does seem to help

Have been attacking the remains of our Christmas choccie as well :D

Cravings not too bad, after dinner was tough then I took 2nd chamois of the day and feel sick as a dog and slightly dizzy weird other worldly and a bit detached . I have to do a set of very straight nails and pretend to be happy to see someone now really want to sleep instead.
