You are right I always think too far ahead, I have also taken a new spin on it I can smoke whenever I want but I am choosing not to that seems to be helping a bit, in previous quits I have always thought of forever and never smoking again and too be honest like u say it's overwhelming! I have a friend who gave up for 8 years and still went back to it so it's a case of always being on your guard I think :eek:

I have reduced almost 3/4th but want to quit using 'cold Turkey' as i feel that helps much better than reducing day by day might not be practical.

I feel ok tired and want to stay in bed not much energy but feel ok mentally , CT works for lots of people but unfortunately not for me i am using patches and they are helping with the physical cravings a great deal.
Also u say you have reduced by 3/4 lots of people do it that why too, cut down with the intention if stopping u have to do what's right for you, maybe consider NRT though like patches and u won't feel it as much as CT, CT for me was torture and there is no need to make it any harder for yourself than it already is , good luck

Treat each day in what it deserves and that is TODAY you are smokefree.
Sometimes we forget exactly why we are doing this all sometimes obvious reasons. But with each fresh day keep a list of those reasons and each day add to that list.
So....
Today I am not going to smoke because I want to feel clean inside and out !

I feel absolutely fine at the mo now tha patch has kicked in i will not smoke today because the weather is so horrendous I don't want to stand out in it
