Very chuffed to get to day 6 and lovely to read of other quitters' milestones achieved today.
My first smoke free Monday at the office helped along by my non smoking treat of new shoes ... now I'm walking tall and feeling pleased to have got this far.
One of my favourite ciggies of the day used to be the one as soon as I got home from work but have found reading this forum as soon as in a welcome distraction.
Striding on to day 7 tomorrow !

I needed the new shoes treat to get me through Monday at work. Sounds a bit silly on reflection but it did help and the shoes did remind me that if i can not smoke for 5 days then another day and beyond is more than achieveable.
Next weeks treat will be something more simple , I'm just going to put aside the money saved so far from up to a packet a day. Need to save some money for future social events .. a few fiftieths, 2nd weddings etc !

It's not silly at all. I don't know if you smoked tailor-mades or not but 5 days worth of ciggy cash? Why should you not treat yourself? It's cash you would not have had before...........enjoy!

Tailor made silk cut was my poison , a packet a day on average, so the cash should soon start to build up !
Thanks again to you and others who are well into their quits to keep posting here and encouraging us newbies.
As far as any input from me goes, you're welcome. People were here for me back in June when I logged on, angry, empty and emotionally shaking, feeling generally poo! It's the best thing I've done in years and this forum's been the key for me.
