I've so far been fine and I hope that I can keep it up!! I'm feeling a bit more hungry and sleepy today but not sure if that's the no smoking or other things going on.
How was day 4 for everyone that has done it?!

Not having a good day now! I have severe toothache which has been lingering for a few days! I also now have the worst stomach cramps ever! Trying to push away the thought about having a smoke!!

Sorry to hear you are feeling so terrible, I do hope you feel some relief soon. There is nothing worse than a toothache.
On topic though, Day 4 for me was not to bad I found I had issues with moods (i felt anger) and found myself distancing from those around me to deal with it.
It does get easier once the actual addiction is out of your system it just becomes a battle with your mind. I am on day 8 right now and have found that the last few days have been smooth. Today is more stressed so I am here this place tends to help.
Don't let life get in the way of your success, day 4 is a huge effort you are doing well.
Thanks for the reply Zene. I just needed a moan! Haha.
I'm finding my mood and everything is ok today, its just the pain of my tooth and stomach that is slightly annoying me. I think even my work mates have noticed a difference in my mood from day 1....day 1 I think I scared them with how moody I was! Haha.
I'm glad that I found this place and I have the support of you all on here when I need it. I also have the support of someone in the office who stopped the day after me so hopefully I can do it.
I always question myself....set myself up for failure I suppose!
I'm glad to hear that it does get easier eventually! x
Its funny you should mention feeling tired, I feel absolutely shattered which is very strange for me and I feel quite light headed I think that could be my lungs being saturated with oxygen instead of tobacco smoke though...Day 4 is still very early in the quit and my determination is still very strong grrrrrr....we can do this...
I'm not sure if its because my partner has been getting up at 5am which I'm not used to or if its the stopping smoking?!
But like you say, day 4 is still early on, I've got the weekend to go yet, not that I'm drinking or out but I used to smoke if I got bored so could be fun! Hopefully will manage to keep my mind off it!!
I work in a pub all weekend  should be great fun for me in he past I have only got through the night by looking forward to ciggy breaks....that all needs to change now....

Hi Babs
You're doing great so far - and i hope your tooth and tummy are better now!
You will have to be careful of boredom, I used to smoke more when I was bored just for something to do, so make sure your mind is busy with other things!!
I'm sure you're going to be fine though, and you can always come on here to let off steam!!
Thanks Gemma-Lou! I was the same as you, when I got bored I smoked more! In a 45 min car journey I used to have 3/4 cigs....thinking about it now is just mad!! I never thought I'd be saying that and I also never thought I'd be saying that I'm on day 4 of no smoking! To say I'm happy is an understatement!!
This forum has helped me a lot and that's only been 4 days!! Sometimes wish my partner would tell me more often how proud he is of me stopping as he knows how hard it's been for me!! But at the end of the day, I've got you lot for that!!! xx

I used to be like that at work during the day...I now go for actual tea breaks and have a cup of tea and catch up with the girls! It's a lot better than standing outside in the rain and wind up here in the 'deen (Aberdeen!)

You're very welcome
It's a great sign that you're thinking it's mad now - especially so early on in your quit! You've definitely thinking the right way!
The times when I was bored and would keep nipping out for a smoke, it's just stupid thinking back on it, didn't even really want one half the time
Anything that keeps your mind and hands busy works though, and it does get a lot easier.
This place really is great, it's helped me through some tough times with my quit - it's a lifesaver!!
