So it’s 15:49 on day 8 or start of week 2 - however you want to look at it.
Today has been tough, maybe even worse than day 3, grrrr! Didn’t sleep well again last night, feeling angry, stressed, agitated, tired and full on craving a fag!
I have questioned my quit a lot today, ‘is it worth it’, ‘why am I putting myself through this’ and ‘one won’t hurt’ AAAARRRRRGGGHHH!!
It seems a few people are struggling today, but honestly this is torture (dramatic I know).
Let’s hope things improve for all of us.

Geez, looking at your post is just like looking in the mirror today heehee !!
It' ok, just move through it same as me. Look on the bright side..... you are a lot closer to the day being over than I am
Since I am in the same place as you today and I threw out my E-cig, I don't have much pep talk prepared but I am here to commiserate with you if need be.
I am sure we will both be having much better days coming at us really soon.... just not fun waiting for em is it lol. I don't know if you read my earlier post but I am having some of the same issues as you so you are not alone my friend !!!
I have to go out now but stick with it and I will check back with you shortly that's a promise !!!!
Just caught up with your post and hope you are feeling a little calmer and that you are taking some very deep breaths with that extra lung capacity you are gaining!
Questioning your quit is inevitable. We all do it. And the only reason we do it is because we are addicts. Seriously. Why the hell would you want to carry on with a habit that will eventually kill you? You know all this stuff. It's the addiction that's trying to reclaim control feeding you with all this junkie statements and suggestions like "one more won't hurt".
We can all do better than that. Reclaim control of your body and your mind, accept the cravings for what they are and look forward to another minute, another hour, another day of freedom. Slowly, it will add up to you being a happy ex-smoker.

PS: All this fighting talk isn't just for your benefit btw! I am going through exactly the same shit as you are, but I really want to do it this time. And I think, you do too.
Dont do it please, I had a day like yours Yesterday, Hell on earth, but it passed and I feel much better today. keep posting and letting steam off it works!

Yes it's worth it, and yes one will hurt, they don't come in 'ones' they come in packs!! Well done getting past first week, you're doing fab:). And yes things will improve for all the New Year Quitters.
Thanks guys, day 9 is in full swing and going ok-ish...!
Just read a post from Wooders28 and it has really helped me, I worked out that by the end of today I would have saved £64.89 and not smoked 180 fags, WOW!
Rustler, I feel your pain and remember it well. But please hang in there because it WILL get better and it IS worth it!
When I had days like that at the beginning of my quit I found this article really useful. Sometimes, when your inner junkie starts whining at you until you feel like you're going mad, you have to be tough with yourself.
Im so pleased to hear your having a better day today, i really struggled with day 8 and 9 aswell I felt like sitting in a Corner gnawing my arm off! I ended up drinking lots of tea? Have you tried fisherman friends ( original ones)? They are quite good if your going CT.i am using the minis and inhalator but cutting back with my fisherman friends haha other flavours available!
Don't give up rustler you have done so well so far,
Working out money you have saved and how many cigs you haven't had is really inspiring! Download the app!!!!
Keep it up moan on here, eat chocolate! thinking of you,the cravings hopefully won't be so frequent and less painful soon -I'm hoping this too!!!
