Back to square one on day 8

Title says it all. I made it to day 8 and it was ok really. But somewhere along the line I've been depressed over multiple things, my anxiety has been over the charts and my phobia issues have been bad and so I got a case of the F it's!!!

My first one after 8 days tasted horrible. I've had 3 today and they all tasted horrible. So tomorrow will be day one again. I know I can beat this!!!! I feel so guilty.

Self guilt is the worst.

I gave in at one month. I smoked 5 or 6, cant remember now. But instead of beating myself up over it, I 're-quit' the next day. My 60 day anniversary is around the corner!

So, the best thing you can do is 're-quit' as soon as possible. You did great, you will do great in the future, just hang in there with the rest of us...

i get anxiety issues too. But after a few weeks it gets a lot easier, I promise.

The fact that I like is not having to worry to see if I have enough fags for work and planning my day around going to the shop to get them.

If I didnt have enough I used to go whampy!

Its nice to have that weight lifted off your shoulders.

Its good that you are now even more determined! Ill be routing for you

Thats very unfortunate, feel really bad for you.

Regardless, your 8 days better off than you were before, and going straight back into it. I'd look at it like an achievement rather than a failure. Im on day 6 of going cold turkey myself, panicked when i read your forum as ive never quit before and was feeling good by now and thinking im already over them, but suppose i can relapse at any time!

Anyways, stick to it, keep at it. All will prevail

Well I was using the patch. I usually take it off before bed but I fell asleep early so it was still on. I woke up around 3 nauseated and took it off. I was afraid to put one on again so mid day and being stressed and no patch I caved. But I'm back on track. Yes I learned. And I will definately remember it tasted horrible and didnt make me feel very well.

Thanks you guys.

Speaking of the patch I'm wearing it now but will be off to bed in a couple of hours

Do you take it off for bed or leave it on? First time I've used it and it came off in the shower even though I was told it would be fine so I'm a bit cautious about the information I've been given about it

Hey Jenn, be really thankful that they tasted horrible and try to lock that taste/feeling somewhere in your mind. I too had a little lapse on week 2 or 3 but unfortunatley they tasted lovely so im trying desperately to reprogramme my mind.

See it as a lapse not a relapse and just start all over again. I can honestly say that re-quitting after my little lapse was far far far easier than the initial quit so go for it girl - you can do it, we're all in it together.:)

From experience I don't wear them to bed. They make me feel bad in my sleep. So I remove it right before I fall asleep. I also wouldn't recommend putting another one on if it falls off. That happened to me a few days ago. I actually sweated part of it off and then a shower did it in. So it was a rough half a day.

When mine fell off I put another one on and I always kept it on in bed. Never had any problem with it.
