Good things, 6 weeks now without one cigarettem saved abou £ 500.00
When I breathe in it seems as though I have a different taste of fresh air, it is hard to describe, as never had this before as I smoked for 30 years, so not sure if this is actually breathing in normal and this is how breathing should feel, it is like having a mild methol cough lozenge every time I breathe.
Still wanting to sleep during the day, even though I am on week 6, and this started at week 2, although it is less than at week 2 - 4 as i was virtually in a coma all day, but waking up 3 or 4 times a night in weeks 2 - 5, now last 2 days been sleeping from 10 pm until 5 am, without getting up, that is a first.
Still have 2 nasty cold sores on side of mouth, now had these for 4 weeks and still here pissing me off, and look horrible.
Spots on my back and arms have appeared in the last week,
I also have been itching for about 4 weeks, only occasionally, but still my skin does feel dry, anyone else got this itching thing going on.
I am drinking water instead of lots of fizzy drinks, and also eating better food
Also anyone had their big toe hurt on one foot, as this seems to have started about 2 weeks ago, and still is noticeable.
So, there is some good, but still some bad, and still some unknowns, so if you have felt the same please let me know
6 weeks, its a miracle for me

Your body is putting itself through a spin cycle isn't it?
I would say enjoy the sleep thing as I wake up all the time through the night...grrrrrr
I have had cold sore but only lasted a week or so. I have used zovirax. Perhaps a visit to the doctor, probably sort these in no time for you?
The big toe has me stumped mind you, maybe a circulation thing?
They do say that the immune system goes in to hyper drive when we quit and this can manifest itself in a hundred different ways with different people. I hope you are concentrating on the good things and making them out weigh the bad ones?
I started eating much healthier several months ago when I took my cycling more seriously and I got spots for a few week! 44 year old and getting spots ... what's that all about?!? wondered if it was all the crap coming out from a massive change to my diet.
Good that you are drinking more water, that's something I really have to try and do more of ..... at the moment it's too much beer and not enough water!
I keep waking up through the night. I thought it was the Champix doing this, or maybe stress, so it's interesting to learn that other quit methods can cause it too. It's a serious pain in the a**, this not sleeping. I feel like I'm in a permanent twilight zone, neither fully awake nor fully asleep.

You sound as if you are suffering from your skin being overly sensitive. I have had this sensation too. I have had lots of beneficial things happen, but this thing with itching has been the worst side effect.
Bizzarely, I have also had a sore big toe!
I would try to avoid letting your skin get dry. A perfumeless cream like E45 is what I use.
Since my quit, I have been hospitalized for a week with cellulitis, a very painful skin infection. Before this I had not been to the doctor for decades.
I'm not being alarmist. Just saying, look after yourself, and if the itching or similar symtoms get to the point that they are getting you down, seek medical advice.
