Introducing myself - now into day 6

Hi,

Just introducing myself. Just made it into day 6 and all is going relatively well!

Hopefully these are not famous last words.

Am using lozenges (2mg) and the occaisional spray - aside from being much hungrier than usual and slightly on edge (more about the fact that I have nowhere to escape to), I'm feeling very determined and convinced that I can do this.

I've previously quite whilst pregnant (didn't miss it in the slightest and no obvious symptoms) and had a 3 week attempt several years ago (but wasn't really commited).

Now definitely feels the right time, not sure why, but I'm not going to over-****yse!

I've loved reading your stories - I keep reminding myself that I used to be a normal grown up before I started smoking!

Looking forward to reaching my first major milestone :D.

Nice to meet you all.

S

Hi Shell, welcome to the forum. It's unequivocally THE best quit aid known to man.

Well done on getting to day six - at this stage every day is a milestone! So make sure that at bedtime you brush your teeth and give yourself a big pat on the back. But not at the same time. :)

Keep on keeping on!

Thank you both so much for your supportive comments.

It's good to know that everyone still has a sense of humour!

I will continue to take each day at a time - it will take as long as it takes.

Well done Shell, I remember how chuffed I was when I made a whole week, 7 days, 168 hours, without smoking.

I never thought it possible but once I'd done it I registered on here and have never looked back.

Dont ever forget that feeling you have of "now definitely feels the right time", it's what will see you through
