Running up the hill...

I have had this song in my head since the Olympic closing ceremony. I am now entering day 3 of my quit. I have had so many quits that I feeling I am always 'running up the the hill!' This time I have taken more time to prepare mentally. I don't to fail again. I didn't post on day 1 because I wanted get a couple of days out the way first. One day at a time. Today I will not smoke.

Thats a great positive post :)

Well done Ellie on deciding to quit again not many manage it the first time and having a positive mind will help as well as not thinking to far ahead or previous quits

one day at a time is the best way to go

looking forward to reading about your progress

:)

Carol

Yesterday went quite well. I was quite calm. My DH and boys have been away for a week. They are back this evening. I am glad I have a few days of my quit under my belt. Between the muggy nights and withdrawal, I have not been sleeping well at nights but I don't feel too bad on it.

Well done Ellie, and its great you have taken time to prepare mentally, i think a lot of people around decided to quit for money and tried everydrug on market or cold turky and end up on them after a day as they totally under estimated the power of the drug. its only will power that at the end of the day will get you off it for good, im on champix andtake the edge of but the rest is down to me!!

i like you after so many quit attempts took time out reviewd why im doing it and want to stop, prepared myself metally and did it! and i found yesterday felt different to all other quit dates. because this time i actually want too.

your on the right track dalring and great you had a few days to yourself to get through the worst!! i look forward to seeing your progress

:D:D:D

Thanks, everyone.

Today has been good so far. I did sneak a wee siesta in because I was up with the lark. I am heading to the gym soon for a workout and a swim.

Derek, I feel different about this quit too. I am breathing my way through my craves and I have been keeping my vitamin C levels up.

The house is so quiet, it will be a real shock to the system when my menfolk return this evening. It will be good to tell them I have quit.

Well done Ellie. It's always fantastic to get through another crave and before you know it it's time to go to bed. I only told one or two people that I stopped. I'm waiting to see how long it takes for people to notice that I have stopped smoking. So far only one person has noticed. I was with my sister on Saturday and even she did not notice that I have stopped. Keep up the good work and well done again.
