As Dippy said, we will celebrate for you until you are ready to do it yourself.
It's a right bugger isn't it, when you feel you should be elated, but too knackered and can't be arsed. The joys of the rollercoaster ride that his quitting the fags.
BUT - knackered and can't be arsed aside - you've now done pretty much 3 months, and are pretty much nicotine free. Yippeeeeee for you - way to go - well done!! Be pleased with and proud of yourself Pappy - you deserve to be!
I don't know if it was the "fear" of letting go of the patches that was getting me down or summat else. If it was the patches thing then that's just plain daft because I've still got a box of the 10mg fellas in the bathroom cabinet as "emergency stash"!
Anyway, I much more positive than I was a few days ago - it's all about recognising why you may fancy a cigarette and what you have to do to say no. Quite simple, really.
And, have you seen the price of fags these days? If that little nico fiend thinks I'm going to pass over 4 quid for just ten of his friends then he has another think coming. I mean, you can get a half-decent bottle of wine for that if you know where to look!
Thank you for your kind words, good people; it means a lot to me.

I'm getting to be afraid to give up the patches. I was going to ease out of them last weekend but going from 14 to 7 was as hard as the first week. I have almost 2 weeks left
It's good to know that you are doing fine without them.
Well done., I feel so much better now I'm off the patches 7 days today I think.. Felt a bit wobbly and like it was back to square one for the first 3 days.. So you can do it

No, it really has been cool, Una.
I was supposed to have one more week on the patches but decided *ahem* "sod it!" and stopped at the weekend (hence the spare box). I think that the dose is so low that you are not really missing anything.
Anyway, you still have the inhalator should you need it (as have I). And I think I've used it twice since Saturday? Something like that anyway.
Don't let fear be a factor, Una - I've just proved that you can do it!
Thanks Pappy, it's got to be done or I'll be spending money on patches instead of cigs
I think I'll start by cutting the patches in half, coward that I am
I'm spending more money now than I fid on fags since quitting.. I keep shopping for food I dont need.. I see a recipe and want to do it.. So I go out and but the food even tho iv got a cupboard full.. it might be a new addiction
