Well done for making it through Christmas - but sorry to hear about your arm. :(

Have you been cutting the Champix down at all? I reduced my dose every week for the last month, which seemed to help. When I finally stopped, I didn't notice any difference at all. Good luck with it, anyway.

Well Done my lovely tropical. It's a bit drastic breaking your arm to stop your self from smoking......:D

Seriously, sorry to hear you've broken your arm...must've hurt like buggery. Well done for entering month 3. What an achievement, we've done so well. I'm all smiles, dunno about you. Let's blast this no.3 thing into oblivion.

P.S. Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year xxxxx

Wow, we are all doing so well. Huge congratulations Tropical.

Shame about the arm!! Must be painful!

Still, at least you don't need that arm for smoking!:p

I actually broke my arm on my works night out prior to Christmas. It was definitely the ice and not drunkeness though. I knew something was up when trying to eat a shish kebab and reduced to using one hand.

Back to the fracture clinic tomorrow morning for more xrays and a new cast. In terms of pain it wasn't actually that bad. Nothing compared to the agony of tearing my ankle ligament playing football a few years ago.

I keep on forgetting to take the bloody Champix so I think I may go to the docs and see what he advises, being a recent ex-smoker, I think he has a good understanding of the process.

Hi Tropical, hope you are not in any pain.....did you manage to finish the kebab lol

Well done getting into month 3, hopefully I'll meet you there in a couple of weeks!!

I cut down on the Champix and like you kept forgetting to take them, have not taken them now for 3 days and feel fine.

Keep positive

:D

Not too much pain thanks lovely Sarah M

I'm finding that I actually don't think about smoking at all any more apart from when drunk. even then though I haven't smoked

Decided to stick with the Champix right the way through to the end.

Slightly concerned what differece coming off them will make

No point in worrying about that until you know you have something to worry about!:p

You'll be fine I'm sure. :)

The cast should be off on the 30th. By when I'll have finished the Champix.

Is anyone else finding it difficult to not be an annoying ex smoker? I know I am.

Well done Tropical. So good to see you hitting 3 months!

I had no problems coming off Champix - didn't bother with them at all for the last month. Miss the dreams though..:D

I really didn't want to turn into that annoying ex-smoker, but I do find myself looking at smokers and thinking 'how could you - how disgusting!'

But then again - they really DO stink ....
