How about that then... it's gone so fast.

I remember the last cigarette like it was last night... I said goodbye as I threw it away... with friends like a cigarette who needs enemies.

well done to all of my fellow NY quitters. Thank for helping me get this far, I am very grateful.

Well I'm 10 days behind you lot due to illness last year, but I still consider myself a new year quitter and I will be going out for a slap up meal with my wife (who is still a smoker) on the 10th to celebrate. I might even get her to pay for the meal because I've already spent the money I saved lol (only joking).

Just.... wow!

That's going to be 365 days smoke free. THREE HUNDRED, SIXTY FIVE DAYS!!! I know, I'm shouting. In your shoes I'd be shouting from the rooftops, pounding my chest, jumping up & down & getting the fireworks ready. What a marvellous accomplishment.

Tell us if you will, after pretty near a year... how do you feel? What's changed for the better? What GOOD quit surprises did you encounter?

1 year.... wow!! I remember it well, stood at the patio doors in the last place i lived, had my last roll-up, there were 2 terracotta pots next to the door that i used to put my ends in, took the last toke and through it in.... made a sizzle when it landed due to snow being in it! Maybe 2 minutes went by, and i got into a bit of a panic.... i didnt seem to make an effort to remember the last smoke, so i had another!! Before bed i threw everything in the bin.

Hopefully i will manage another year..... well done to all members of the New Year Quitters club.... ;)

we are on the 7 day count down... I am actually very excited now... the cravings have subsided and I feel really positive that I can reach the penthouse this time... it was 9 days before last quit so I have beat that demon. :D

Merry Christmas everyone.
