6 weeks and a bit for me the bit is a bit more than my last quit back in march.i lost that one due to coming off patches early and receiving a bolt from the blue. Its taken 6 months of chainsmoking and hell to arrive here today. im being patient and keeping with the nrt for the long haul of 12 weeks or 3 months in old money. well iv survived another bolt from the blue smokefree and beaten my last quit and have no intention of going back. im an addict and always will be. i know i am powerless where tobacco is concerned but as long as i dont have one then i cant have the next one, its easy to say no to one but impossible for me to say no to the second and the rest. Its one day at a time and has been for 6 and and a bit weeks.
well pleased. Mash x

thats a really positive thread and 6 weeks is wicked dont even think about past quits they are in the past and you have learnt from them just concentrate on this one and again well done your doing so well
Great post Mash - and a massive well done from me. I too am a 'real' addict - and know that my success will depend upon NEVER EVER EVER EVER smoking again. As long as we don't stick another cigarette in our mouth, it's not a case of 'getting there', it's more like 'we're already there'. And anything which helps us on our day-at-a-time journey to a happier, healthier and wealthier future where we don't even THINK about smoking has got to be a good thing. NRT is working for me as well, so watch out for my similar post when I reach 6 weeks too!
