We've nearly done a week. That's a whole 7 days without smoking, something that, if you'd have told me a month ago I could achieve, I'd have said there was more chance of Hell freezing over. And look at the weather!! May be Hell has frozen!
I'm feeling good today, still got a horrible cold and I wavered a bit yesterday when I smelt smoke for the first time since my quit, but all in all still positive and happy. I guess the test will be this weekend if I go out and about and have a couple of drinks, but I'll cross that bridge when and if I come to it. And if I really, really want to stand outside in the freezing cold and ice, I'll take my inhalator and I bet I'll be back in again within minutes!
Anyways, love to all my fellow day 6'ers, and those ahead and behind me. We are strong and I'm so proud!!!

Yeah know what you mean weekends can be a little hard expecially if we are partying!
Just be on your gaurd and ready for the test if them nasty demons try to trick you into lighting up.
Stick with your inhaler and dont be ashamed to use it in public.
I love my inhaler even though some people think it looks like a tampon
I would sooner have a tampon in my mouth than having a dirty cigarette in my mouth:eek:
have a good weekend emily

HA Lee, you're so right! God I'd never thought of that-now I'm going to look like I'm smoking a tampon!
But you're right, that would still be preferable to a ciggy!
I think I might just go out for a couple tonight then stop in tomorrow (unusual for me but there you go). At least that way, I'm not facing temptation too soon!
I'm a day 6'er myself so I know how you feel. Just got through 2 days snowed in and resisted temptation even though my other half is a 20 a day man.
Good luck with going out. That's what helped convince me to stop. None of my friends smoke so I started to feel I was missing out on something every time I had to nip out for a ciggy.
I have to say I feel great and did a 4 mile walk yesterday and wasn't out of puff once.
Well done guys. It's been a bit of a rocky road these past couple of days but hey I MADE THE CHOICE TO NOT SMOKE so I am just going to try and stay positive.
I tell you what though my skin feels like it's crawling constantly itching I feel like a dog with flees. I think it could be these patches I don't know?
"Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My, oh my what a wonderful day!
Plenty of sunshine heading my way
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
Mister Bluebird on my shoulder
It's the truth, it's actch'll
Ev'rything is satisfactch'll
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
Wonderful feeling, wonderful day!"
Had to share this tune with you it's going round & round in me head to help with m PMA.

So, Emily it's your fault we are all frozen up with snow. Very well done with your quit, I remember thinking the same things during the early days, honestly it gets easier as time goes on, we would never get to where we are if it stayed the same.
You ok now Ems? Can I suggest you just talk to him (the NicoDemon) I mean. Mines a him but of course you can have female nicodemons too (no discrimination and all that).
Ask him to go away - if that doesn't work then tell him to go away - then if that doesn't work just swear at him. When he has gone away do a laugh like ha, ha, ha. As if to let him know you have the better of him.
Sounds really mad I know but I think I have to play mind games with myself to get through it.
I'm OK now, thanks Tinks. I went out for some fresh air and I'm now sucking a sherbet lemon (I've eaten all the chocolate limes). That was my first proper crave of the week but it's gone now, thanks heavens! Thanks for caring!! xxx
