Hello day 5...

I am loving being a non-smoker! This thought is what is keeping me going.

Finding it hard dealing with lots of different emotions; I was fine just a minute ago, but am suddenly feeling tearful.

It's great reading everyone's posts - I know I'm not going mad or alone with my thoughts... Particularly like reading the 2 weeks, 3 weeks etc - I can't wait to be there!!!!

I'm off out for walk; need to get out of this mindset.

Well done DM - you are already over the worst!

Your emotions will start to even out soon - the first week is inevitably a bit of a rollercoaster. It's a great idea to read the posts from people further ahead than you because this is how you can learn from those people who have already been through "your phase" and come out the other side!

You're so positive, DangerMouse..its a great attitude.

Don't try and suppress your emotions too much..crying is a good stress relief!

Day 5 today (jumping the gun yesterday and had to change to day 4 - wishful thinking)

Difficult night last night, kept waking up - don't remember doing that last time I tried to quit...

Nearly a whole week done... 18 years smoking; I'm 33 which means I've been smoking over half my life time - not good - so determined this time round.
