redundancy is looming

my OH has his definate date for his redundancy now 4th november, hey ho just wat we need for christmas, but hey thats the joys of a conservative government [oh yeah forgot the liberals too as they are so weak and wishy washy i never hear there voice]

and as the government make the deep cuts in order to pay back our deficit and in the process me my family and many many people like me suffer the same fate of a very very sad future i will not be lining there pockets with tax from cigarettes because i have no intention at all of using it as an excuse to smoke so at least theres a bright side

Boo, that sucks.

But you know, I'm thinking of a post you wrote a while back about pushing a double buggy uphill against a raging wind. I remember thinking what a fantastically strong person you were then, and how you've tackled smoking head on and been so amazing.

This is another uphill windy battle, but I know you have the strength to face it with your family, and I hope and pray that the storm will be over soon and you'll be back in the sun.

I'm in the Private sector and to face an uncertain future, though not as bad as your other half at this present moment in time. I'm so glad I don't smoke at the present, it only gives the fat cats more of our taxes to spend.

When I think about what this country is going through, cos lets face facts, whatever your political persausion is, they are only in it for themselves, I tend to think of a Billy Connelly quote which goes

"Politicians, don't vote, it only encourages them"
