Hey everyone...how you all doing? Isn't it horrible outside....really wintry and miserable for a Monday!! Well arrived in Week 2 and am so damn chuffed. Even survived drinking at a party on Saturday night and was standing with a smoker, and didn't even want a puff...she actually look enviously at me :D

Anyone else starting week 2, or has been through week 2 and felt a bit down? Feels like a bit of an anti-climax. Everyone has contratulated you and now thats it? I actually had to ask my OH over the weekend whether he was pleased/wanted to congratulate me, as he hadn't said a word

Was so elated last week and now just feel flat

You're doing great Embo!! Keep going!!

No need to feel flat. *Every* day is an achievement and should be celebrated. Those nearest to us - particularly if they've never smoked or tried to quit - won't really appreciate the amount of effort it takes. That's where the forum is so important. We all know what it's like and are there to share in your milestones.

Stay strong Embo!!

OH YEAH BABY!!!

HUGE HUGE WELL DONE CHICK!!

That seems to have gone really fast

Like Mr Ed said, no need to feel flat, what you have achieved is amazing, you should be feeling so so proud!!

I have given up getting praise from home, i just rely on the people on here now :)

Snowie xx

Thanks Mr Ed and Snowie.....am so annoyed that I feel so down today, when you're right, I should be on top of the world!! Maybe it's just an off day?

How are you guys doing? xx

(((Embo)))

It can be a lonely fight sometimes but soooo worth it in the long run!!

Quitting always has its up and downs so feel free to rant away or celebrate here :). No-one will take offence as we'll all have been in similar positions before and probably will again in the future.

Just believe in yourself, stay strong, and take it one day at a time!! We're all behind you!!

I'm doing very well thank you :). Nearly at week 4!! I'd never have believed I could get this far but here I am!! I wouldn't say it's been always easy, but it's not been intolerably tough either. I think my stubborn streak's seeing me through :D.

2 weeks

Hello Embo!

I am new here and today is 2 weeks for me as well. Since yesterday, I too have been feeling down, even to the point of tears. This is my first and hopefully final attempt at quitting and boy, it IS hard!

Smoked for 37 years until 10:30pm 24 Oct 2010.

I'm the same as snow - I go to bed, but then it's at least an hour and a half before I fall asleep.

But well done - you are doing brilliantly - keep it up!

Sleeping, what's that?? Haven't had a good nights sleep since I began this journey!

me too

Was so elated last week and now just feel flat
