Well,As Day 12 arrives....little to report other than the quit is going to plan. The craves whether physical or mental or WHATEVER!!!!!....come and go.Funnily enough got an EARLY morning crave or two today and afternoon one or two-But kept my resolve 100%...again the evening is so easy.So give or take an hour Day 11 is done and dusted. Not a puff(GUARANTEED) for nearly a fortnight now.But still these early days are not a breeze but I am happy to have quit COLD TURKEY.I am happy to have quit full stop!!!!!..Must remember never to have another puff!!!!One other thing to add today...i remember a little before this quit I was finding the taste of cigarettes revolting and couldn't find a brand I liked the taste of.Thanks everyone for your kind support-It is greatly appreciated...as is this forum.douglas(j):)

Well done Douglas. Just out of curiosity how do you know the difference between a crave and thinking about cigarettes. On previous quits I have thought about them all day/night so never really knew when I craved. Would be good to hear how you define a "thought" and a "crave" just so I can tell the difference in the future :)

Hey Karri

In my head the difference is that a crave is more a physical feeling, somewhere in my stomach, a bit like hunger but really strong, and it comes in gradually, builds up and then dies down like a wave, hope that makes sense :)

Hi Karri, yes Jordans hit in on the nail.....I sometimes grind my teeth for a few moments...Its fleeting...It soon passes.....Its the nicotine monster gasping for breath as it slowly dies.At these times I say to myself -So Happy To Be A Nonsmoker. To hell with the craves....Its worth a bit/fair bit of discomfort at times to beat this dreadful addiction. What I must always remember from my last quit is how one puff weeks or months down the line will be FATAL.Finally I must say(and not everyone is the same) I'm now feeling like a NONSMOKER again at this (near) 2 week marker.....and that feels great.Really Great.
