Lo folks, good to see so many folk still quit and indeed many treading the path towards freedom aswell. Just noticed my quit counter saying 21 months the other day, and as i've not posted in a while just wanted to say i'm still about, still quit, and still keeping N.O.P.E. rule alive. Keep going everyone.. and best wishes to all the folk i met along the way. Jase.

In the first year I feel i did the main work of quitting, the real feeling that i'd achieved something wonderful started to happen around the 6 month mark, i started to relax alot more and time and weeks started slipping by very quickly. This is why i have maximum respect for folk who are treading the path to freedom now in their first weeks/months or even first year.. thats where the real work towards quitting is done. once you get to 12 months (the penthouse as many call it), you are so far relaxed that even the milestones totally slip you by. (and that is good). Just about the only time smoking ever crosses my mind now is when i visit the forums and even then its not desire, need or anything, all i see is alot of good folk who've finally come to their senses. so respect to all, and good luck. Jase

Congrats Jase :)

Nicely and solidly continued. See you at two years.

Yep, the six months time pretty much applied to me too.
