I guess it might be different for everyone, but when did it start getting easier for you?
I still feel crap, and know that all it will take to make me feel better is to have a cigarette. So far I've managed to resist. But I wish there was a bit of respite from the awfulness!

Looks like we are at the same stage in the quitting process. I have had a few hairy moments, nearly caved in twice last week and I have put on weight already which Isnt good at all. I feel calm, relaxed, and not at all anxious which leads me to believe that after puffing on 25 ciggies a day for 25 years it really makes you stressed and more nervous. I really dont feel like having a ciggie at all at the moment.
I am reducing my tablet down to one now to try and ease off the nausea, bloating and wind. If I feel that I am wanting a ciggie I will need to go back to having 2 per day again but I am hoping that wont happen.
I just feel that we have came this far, it would be so crazy to stop now, we have done the hard bit really, nicotine is out of your body between 48-72 hours, and now all our systems are go and running at a normal rate as well
It is now the physical side of our habit that we are really missing just keep busy.
Just remember what is in ciggies :- Petrol additive, Embalming Fluid, Toilet Cleaner, Nail Polish Remover, Tar, Nicotine, Carbon Monoxide, Arsenic. We were putting this into our bodys all day every day.
You have also saved about £70 quid in stopping. Keep going and just think that you stopped for a reason.
It doesn't happen overnight. When you're free of nicotene it's easy to expect/hope that it will all be over but the bald truth is you have to spend a while retraining yourself to get through the days without fags. One of the oldies here calls it 'ongoing mental realignment', and they're so right.
I can't say exactly how long this takes, but it DOES HAPPEN.
Handiman is right, try to take your mind off it. If you obsess too much it's easy to cave. Post on here, eat, exercise, play video games, go see a film.... whatever it takes, really. Bit by bit you will really start to feel better. It's all worth it, I promise.
Sorry to hear that you're having a rough time of it Steve. Can't really offer any constructive advice (I'm only on Day 6), but I do empathise and wish you the strength to keep going, You ABSOLUTELY have made the right decision - I'm sure it will get easier, if you can just hang in there!
